Here’s another easy to cook Greek recipe it’s another souvlaki recipe, it’s my Greek lamb souvlaki recipe, as explained in my chicken souvlaki recipe this is a popular Greek street food.

Greek Lamb Souvlaki Ingredients

  1. 2x packets of 450g of diced lamb
  2. 6 tbsp of Olive Oil
  3. Juice of 1x Lemon and the zest of a lemon
  4. 1x Red Onion finely chopped
  5. 1x tsp of dried Oregano
  6. 1x tsp of thyme
  7. 1x tsp of paprika
  8. 1x tsp of Black Pepper
  9. 1x Cup of finely chopped Mint
  10. 1x Cup of finely chopped Parsley
  11. 2x cloves of crushed garlic
  12. 1x Red pepper, 1x yellow peppers and 1x Green Pepper
  13. 2x Tomato
  14. 1x Onion (red or white of your choice)


  • Kebab Skewers – either metal or bamboo (if bamboo let them soak in water for 15 minutes, then take them out and dry. This prevents the skewers from burning)
  • 1x Large Bowel
  • Sharp Knife
  • Fridge
  • Cling Film
  • Grill (But you can fry or BBQ)
  • Cheese Grater

Total Time To Create Your Chicken Souvlaki Recipe

Prep Time: 1 hr 20 mins (leave over night in the fridge) | Cooking Time: 10 Minutes | Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins

How To Prepare the Greek Lamb Souvlaki Recipe

1.  Add the following into a large bowl; 1x tsp of black pepper, 1x tsp of paprika, 1x tsp of thyme, 1x tsp of dried Oregano, 1x Cup of finely chopped Parsley, 1x Cup of finely chopped Parsley, 2x cloves of crushed garlic, red onion finally chopped, lemon zest, juice of the lemon and 6x tbsp of olive oil and mix together until it becomes paste.

2.  Add 2x packets of 450g of diced shoulder of lamb and place into a large bowel with the paste in and with your hands mix the paste in with the lamb, wrap the bowel in cling film and leave in the fridge over night for the flavours to infuse together.

3.  About an hour before you take the lamb in marinade out of the fridge, cut some onion, peppers and tomatoes into squares so that you place them on your skewer.

4.  Take the lamb out of the fridge and place the lamb on the skewer, in between the lamb you put on the skewer add the peppers, onions and tomatoes. (See the picture at the top)

5.  Put you Lamb Souvlaki under the grill for 10 minutes turning till cooked all over.

6.  Serve up and enjoy.
